I avoid doing a deep cleaning for a couple of reasons. Cleaning could actually make these look much different from the pieces you already own. Especially critical in vintage sets with blackened accent on their handles to make the graphics standout. I do only enough cleaning, wiping down, to be able to determine condition on the pieces. C ertainly something you'll want to clean before using on your table.
